Guidelines to help you prepare for a massage therapy session:
We will want some general information about your medical history, lifestyle, stress level and any area’s of discomfort before your session begins.
You will be given privacy to disrobe to your level of comfort and cover with a sheet and blanket. During your massage only the area of the body being massaged will be undraped. Your modesty will be respected at all times. If we will be doing Myofascial Therapy you may want to keep on under garments and or shorts.
A massage on normal, healthy tissue feels good. Massaging in the area of an injury or pain may at first cause some discomfort, but usually decreases within the first few minutes. I know how to minimize the discomfort. It is important that you tell me.
